..and one from Deborah

This photo is also one of those we discarded. It was a little too static for what I wanted to represent but I still think it's a powerful portrait of Deborah and I like it a lot.

Her pose and her expression are really "important" to me. She has an austere look, she seems like a goddess, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I wanted to show it because I like it, that's all.
I hope you enjoy it.

You are right ... she looks interesting, so outer worldly and detached. What I don’t like about this photo is that the device in the background appears to be right on her head. I wish it wasn’t there at all. Also, I think there is too much red on the foremost part of her body.

You are right about the red light, it's a little too red. The batteries in the flash were starting to die and as a result I got a slightly underexposed red, meaning a deeper red. As for the background I actually like it the way I framed it. Removing the oil rig would get rid of an important element for the composition.

I understand the background is important for the element you are trying to depict, but I was looking at this picture independently of the symbol. I just thought it would look good as a simple Deborah portrait, Earth element apart.
